According to the rules established by ANEEL Resolution No. 482/2012, modified by ANEEL Normative Resolution No. 687/2015, consumers are allowed to install small power generators to use the electricity system to inject the excess energy, which will be converted into energy credit. These credits may be used to reduce the consumption of the consumer unit in the following months or other consumer units that need to be previously registered for this purpose and attended by the same distributor. Another way to add consumer units to consumption abatement is through multi-consumer or shared-generation enterprise.
